“Sure your feet are sweet and precious when you’re a baby, but as you grow, without a lot of TLC and through considerable use and abuse, they may become far less adorable. If you have a fetish for foot photography, submit your photos here!”
“For more inspiration check out these featured photos in the JPG Blog. Then submit your own JPG foot shots, today!”
To be honest, I’m not a big fan of feet, especially other people’s feet. Before this theme even debuted, I had uploaded a photo to my JPG profile and it just so happened to be a pictured of my foot. Why was I taking pictures of my feet you may ask? Well music tends to be a source of inspiration for me, especially for the titles of my work, and this time I was inspired by the song “Tiptoe” by Imagine Dragons. I was lucky enough to be a featured photo in JPG’s blog post “Best Foot Forward” that was then developed into this theme. Who knew my foot was going to be so popular? Haha.

Rural living eh? Well I’ve photographed my fair share of countryside over the years, so this photo challenge hits home for me. I decided to enter “Knee-high,” one of my all time favorite photographs, into this challenge. I even have this one printed on a 24×36 canvas. Sitting in the pasture amongst the wildflowers with my cowgirl boots on, well that just says country to me…

What a fun photo challenge! So many options to explore, time to get creative! Get out there and find some layers!
I’m keeping my photo “Subtle Fringe” under wraps *wink wink, nudge nudge* because I want you to guess what I used in my layers photograph. If you have an idea of what’s pictured in the photograph below, then feel free to leave a reply with your guess. I’d love to hear what you think! (For a better view, click the photo!)

“We had a pair of woodpeckers nest in an old rotted tree in our backyard back in June. After some research, I found out they were yellow-shafted Northern Flickers also known as the Yellowhammer, the state bird of Alabama. I spent some time waiting for the parents to arrive at the nest and listening to the incessant calls of the hungry nestlings. I think I was just as impatient as the nestlings; we were all happy when they would finally arrive again, for me to capture them in photographs and the nestlings to get another meal…”
Female yellow-shafted Northern Flicker (Yellowhammer), prominent black breast patch, black spots on the belly, and a hint of yellow under the tail. No black mustache here, that’s reserved for the males…

I know it has been quite some time since I’ve made a blog post…I’m really horrible at this whole blogging thing xD But I’m here now, so let’s do this!
In this post, I’ll be featuring a gallery of my photographs that have been featured on JPG News Blog so far this year. Since I have not been making Photo Challenge posts recently, I figured this would be a good way to catch you up on some of my photography activity. I’m still very active on jpgmag.com as well as my Facebook page, so if you keep up with my work on either of those two sites then Thank You!
